Plainstack FixedSync

Privacy Policy

How Plainstack FixedSync handles merchant operational data and Shopify privacy requests.

Effective date: October 27, 2026

Data the app uses

Plainstack FixedSync requests the Shopify scopes write_products and read_markets. It uses merchant shop and authentication session information, product and variant identifiers, product tags and base prices, Markets, catalogs, price lists, currencies, and fixed-price state to provide pricing rules, Preview, Apply, Auto Sync, verification, history, and rollback.

The app stores Shopify session credentials and session metadata supplied by Shopify, including the shop domain and, when Shopify supplies them, merchant administrator identifiers, name, email, locale, and authorization scope. Credentials are used only to authenticate the installed shop and call Shopify APIs for the app’s functions.

Operational records

The app stores pricing-rule configuration, product and variant identifiers, calculation inputs and results, rounding settings, job status, webhook identifiers and timestamps, write-verification results, errors, and Apply, Auto Sync, and rollback audit history. Product webhook storage is limited to the product identifiers and event timestamp needed for deduplication and durable processing.

App Store analytics

Plainstack FixedSync uses the Shopify App Store's Google Analytics 4 integration to measure use of its App Store listing. Shopify may send analytics events such as a listing view, an install-button click, and an app install to the app's Google Analytics property.

For install attribution, Shopify may send store-related information to Google Analytics, including a shop identifier, shop name, or shop URL. Plainstack FixedSync uses this information only to analyze listing performance, traffic sources, and the install funnel. It is not used to build advertising profiles or track customer or order activity.

The app continues not to request customer or order scopes or intentionally collect buyer personal information. Google's privacy terms apply to Google Analytics processing.

Customer and order data

Plainstack FixedSync does not request customer or order scopes, does not query customer or order resources, and does not intentionally collect or store customer names, customer email addresses, delivery addresses, phone numbers, or order details. Authenticated customers/data_request and customers/redact webhooks are acknowledged with no customer record to export or delete.

Uninstall and deletion

When the app receives app/uninstalled, it immediately disables pricing rules and Auto Sync, stops queued work, prevents further Shopify price mutations, and deletes Shopify sessions and access credentials. Operational and audit records are temporarily retained for Shopify’s privacy lifecycle.

When Shopify later sends an authenticated shop/redact webhook, the app permanently deletes all data associated with that shop in one database transaction: sessions, pricing rules, price-change runs and items, sync jobs, and webhook processing records. It does not create anonymized merchant statistics from those records.

Security and service providers

Plainstack FixedSync verifies Shopify webhook signatures, isolates records by shop, keeps credentials out of application logs, and enforces billing and Auto Sync controls on the server. The production application and database are hosted on Railway. Shopify processes installation, API, and app-billing activity under Shopify’s own terms and policies.
